Areas

Where we work, and how the map behaves in each place

One page, not one per village. Google filters town pages that repeat themselves, and we would rather tell you how each area actually searches. Everything below is measured from our office at 110 Rhosddu Road, Wrexham.

Wrexham

The districts, and what the map does in each

A search made on a phone centres the map on the phone. Wrexham is big enough that Gwersyllt, Rhos and the estate each get their own three businesses for most trades, and small enough that a business with a strong profile shows across all of them.

Rhosddu, Hightown and the town centre
Where our office is and where the map centres for most "Wrexham" searches. Shops, cafes, professional firms, the Racecourse.
Caia Park, Acton and Borras
The east of town: trades searches, family services, the new housing around Borras.
Garden Village, Rhosrobin and Gwersyllt
North and north-west: home services, the Gwersyllt map pack is its own thing for plumbers and electricians.
Rhostyllen, Ruabon and the industrial estate side
South: the estate's suppliers, garages along the A483, Ruabon as a separate map centre.
Brymbo, Coedpoeth, Brynteg and Rhos
The villages up the hill: Welsh place names in English searches, strong local loyalty, few businesses with a proper profile.

The towns around

Distances from Rhosddu Road, and what we do for each

We take clients in all of these. What changes is the plan: a Wrexham base with an honest page for the towns you genuinely serve, or a second profile where you really have a second base.

Why not a page per town

The doorway trap, in one paragraph

Twenty pages that say “plumber in Gresford”, “plumber in Marford”, “plumber in Rossett” with the rest identical are what Google's spam policy calls doorway pages. They stop being indexed, and when the filter catches them it tends to take the good pages with it. A business that genuinely works in Chester gets one Chester page that could not be mistaken for the Wrexham one: the jobs done there, the travel time, the price for it. That page ranks. The other kind does not.

The Welsh names, as people type them

Wrecsam, Rhosllannerchrugog (Rhos), Coedpoeth, Gwersyllt, Brymbo, Llangollen, Rhiwabon (Ruabon), Yr Wyddgrug (Mold). Google treats each pair as one place; the profile and the pages use the spelling customers search with, which in most of the borough is the Welsh village name in an English sentence.
